How to play 2048
- Move the board. Use the arrow keys on a computer or swipe in any direction on a touch screen.
- Match equal tiles. Two tiles with the same value merge when they collide: 2 + 2 becomes 4, then 4 + 4 becomes 8.
- Make room for the next move. A new tile appears after each move, so avoid filling the board too quickly.
- Reach 2048—and keep going. The game is won at 2048, but higher tiles and a new best score are always within reach.
